Any advice for couples planning weddings now? Anything you would have done differently or anything you’d like to add?

Our advice would be to decide early on what you care most about so you can ensure those things are done the way you want them. That way, you can go with the flow on the rest. We found that our vendors, families, and wedding party were all extremely open to helping us out with the things we felt most strongly about — and happy to take over some of the less important things to save us some time and stress.

What was your favorite part of your wedding day?

After our ceremony, Annie and I snuck upstairs to have a private glass of champagne just the two of us while we waited for our officiant (one of our good friends) to join us to sign our marriage certificate. While we appreciated having a moment alone, we quickly realized that all we wanted to do was get back downstairs and start the celebration. Our eagerness to spend time with friends and family showed just how excited we were to be at our own wedding.
