Q & A with the bride and groom
Describe your wedding day style in one sentence: Urban or Modern
Wedding day color scheme: Slate blue, Navy, Gold
Describe your wedding planning process up until now: At times, stressful and at times, enjoyable. Wedding planning is a crazy roller coaster.
Tips you could pass on to other brides in the planning process?: At the end of the day, both the bride and groom have to be content with their day. Listen to each other and your hearts and follow that instinct – even if it is not the popular or conventional choice.
Anything you would have done differently?: Shop around for a little longer for a wedding dress
Most memorable moment during the planning process: Finding our venue! We knew we wanted to get married in Door County, but we could not find a venue that fit our timeline or budget. One day Melissa was scrolling through the Door County News on social media and came across the Donald and Carol Kress Pavilion in Egg Harbor that was in the construction phase. She immediately knew this was it, if they did weddings, and she quickly got in touch with Jess, the Kress Pavilion’s coordinator. Melissa made an impromptu trip to Egg Harbor within a week with the groom’s mother to tour the venue. With hard hats and neon vests on, they both toured the venue and fell in love with the space and views. They booked the venue immediately.
